3. My favorite ice cream memory is lying in bed at night and then hearing Dad's spoon hit the side of the empty bowl as he finished his ice cream.

3. Vernor's floats at Grandma and Grandpa Rowe's. Traveling in Cambodia and rather tired of Asian food: suddenly I discovered yummy peach ice cream at a buffet we were eating at and ate 2 bowls. Loud's of Jackson during college. A little ice cream shop in Paris with wonderful sorbets. I also really like Cindy's memory of Dad eating ice cream!
4. Margie's Candies at Western and Armitage. There is a hot fudge and raspberry sundae that is yummy.
5. Lemon Italian ice
1. Chocolate with mint or chips or brownie chunks or just plain.
2. At Mooney's and at the Evans' house - remember how Mr. Evans would serve Neopolitan ice cream by peeling back the wrapper and slicing it with a knife?
3. Ditto the Dad memories. Also trying a different flavor at Mooney's - blue moon, pumpkin, bubble gum. I thought I was quite daring.
4. I eat ice cream at home, sitting at the table after supper or down in the family room.
5. When we go to Applebee's, we share a Triple Chocolate Meltdown. I like Wendy's Chocolate Frostys - junior size. We had some excellent gelato in NYC.
1. My favorite flavor is--I admit it, I'm a Philistine--chocolate. Any and every kind but especially Haagen-Dasz Amazon River Valley Chocolate, which adds just a tinge of spice--if you've ever had Mexican hot chocolate, it tastes like an ice-cream-ized version of that. Heavenly.
2. Well, technically I still am a kid, but my ice cream tastes have been fairly static since forever.
3. I remember going to Sebastian Joe's in Minneapolis one balmy summer night years ago with Mom and Dan. I had "Pavarotti"--named after the tenor?--which was Banana, chocolate chip, and caramel. It was heavenly. I remember Dan decided to be daring and have "chocolate cayote"--chocolate with cayenne pepper. He swore it was delicious, and we all walked back to the car in the hot night, with cold ice cream. Bliss.
4. At the table at home. I am the designated "ice-cream server." I generally ask, "Shall I serve some AAAH!" (Get it? I scream, you scream...oh, never mind) and the answer is usually positive.
5. I'll have to go with Mom and say Wendy's frosties and the Triple Chocolate Meltdown at Applebee's. When we were in the UK they had a huge kind of ice cream treat in a stylish package called "Magnum," in several different flavors. Since we visited during a heat wave, these were nothing short of essential and delicious. They were basically like fancy dilly bars with different variations on the chocolate, vanilla, caramel, nuts themes.
