Friday 5: Celebrate your Mom!!

In anticipation of Sunday's big day:

1. What ways are you VERY like your mother?
2. What ways are you NOT like your mother?
3. How do you wish you were MORE like your mother?
4. What life lessons have you learned from your mother?
5. What is a favorite "Mom" memory?

Happy Mother's Day to all Moms, Aunts, Sisters!

1. Same hair, same pleasing plumpness, same tendency toward distraction, same insomnia.
2. Much quicker to anger, more career oriented, more driven to figure things out.
3. I wish I were as easygoing as she is.
4. Strong faith in God will carry you through.
5. There are so many, but most recently I have been touched by how much she valued caring for Aunt Joyce and how much fun they had together the first time Mom stayed with her.

1. Easy-going, out-going, love to read, insomnia, easily distracted or de-focused, love gardening.
2. Bigger, more assertive, less flexible (she can put her palms flat on the floor at age 75!!), way less domestic, more adventurous.
3. I would like to be as content as she is.
4. Sue said exactly what I was going to: strong faith in God will carry you through!
5. I remember when I had measles at age 6, perhaps, and had to be in a darkened room for several days. Mom read to me, and also, I could hear her singing as she moved around the house: This is my story, this is my song, praising my Saviour all the day long . . .

1. We're both introverted Grammar freak Anglophiles, with the same hair.

2. My mother hates fantasy. I love it.

3. I wish I had my mom's perseverance and cheerfulness.

4. Never open your eyes while you're praying, never say "epitome"--rhymes with "tome," instead of "epitome"--"E-PIT-O-ME."

5. I remember going to England with Mom. That was a heck of alot of fun.

Happy Mother's Day, Mom!
