Friday 5: Celebrate Your Dad!

In anticipation of Sunday's big day:

1. What ways are you VERY like your father?
2. What ways are you NOT like your father?
3. How do you wish you were MORE like your father?
4. What life lessons have you learned from your father?
5. What is a favorite "Dad" memory?

A very happy Father's Day to all Dads, Uncles, Brothers, and to all soon-to-be Dads, like my nephew Conor!

1. He and I both like learning new things. Like taking care of my house and yard.
2. I'm almost always late; he never is. I have lots more hair.
3. I wish I liked to exercise as much as he did. He is in such good shape.
4. Always tell the people you love that you love them.
5. How he would hear a joke on the radio as he was driving around on sales calls and would write down part of it and share it with us at the supper table.

1. The love of organization and the lack of ability to actually achieve it. I've recently taken up running, which Dad also did in his 50's. I'm farsighted.
2. I love to read, I can carry a tune.
3. He has so much energy and enjoys taking care of his home.
4. Laugh at yourself! Stay active mentally and physically and socially and spiritually as you grow older.
5. I remember as a young adult, we were in the car and Dad was driving. He started telling a story on himself, some silly mistake he'd made and got to laughing so hard I really thought he'd go off the road.
Also knee hockey. And remember those hockey games with the little men and the handles that you twirled to make them move? and slot cars?
