Friday 5: Midsummer Nights' Dream

Credit for this post goes to friday5.org
1. What are some recurring dreams you’ve had?
2. What is the significance of dreams in telling you about yourself?
3. How do you feel after you’ve had one of THOSE dreams?
4. What was the last dream you remember?
5. When did you last dream about something that later happened as you dreamt it?

and a bonus question from me:
6. If you were in a production of the play 'A Midsummer Night's Dream' what part would you like to play and why?

1. recurring dreams? lots and lots of dreams about being late for class
2. significance? that the U of M was pretty traumatic for me and that my biggest fear is failure
3. after one of THOSE dream I feel - drained
4. last remembered dream? it was halfway through the quarter and I hadn't attended one of the classes I was registered for at all; and it was a class in my major
5. last dream about something that later happened as you dreamt it? I often dream the solution to work problems, but I don't know that I've ever actually had a dream come true in real life

6. My Midsummer Night's Dream character: Titania. I think she would be fun to play: cranky and feisty and ridiculous. Plus it would be great to be able to wear a fairy costume!

1. being chased, or attacked or stalked.
2. That I often feel as if some bad thing is around the corner
3. I used to wake up scared, but as I've gotten older, the dreams have changed: instead of running away, now I fight back, so I wake up feeling powerful. Poor Dave also wakes up, as a result of me yelling in rage or else kicking him.
4. I just recently dreamed that I got a very bad sunburn, even though I was covered up.
5. Probably never.
6. I probably don't know the play well enough, but my first thought was Titania.

1. I've had a few in my day...the worst were this one involving night and chain-link fences and spotlights and violins and caves and my old preschool teacher; and the one where me and someone else were trapped in this dark mansion/restaurant thing in a blizzard, and our dog Caleb was outside getting snowed on, and the zebra pie one. *sigh*

2. None whatsoever, usually.

3. I usually wake up with a cold sweat. The only dreams I remember are nightmares.

4. Um, I dreamed about this scary movie I saw ;)

5. Probably a long time.

6. Well, I WAS in a production of the Midsummmer Night's Dream, and I played both Oberon and Theseus.
